Introduction

The Keyhole Portal project involved designing a property manager and agent administration tool for the Keyhole Deposit product. The main challenge was to facilitate the adoption of Keyhole Deposit by property managers and agents, enabling them to easily issue guarantees. The goal was to create a scalable and user-friendly platform that could accommodate not only the current needs of Keyhole Deposit but also any future Keyhole Services.

Research and Target Audience

To understand the needs and preferences of property managers and agents, a combination of user interviews and digital analytics tools, such as Hotjar, were employed. The research ex. revealed a demand for integration options, which led to the pursuit of a collaboration with a major administration platform. This data-driven approach helped to ensure that the Keyhole Portal was designed to address the real-world needs of its target audience effectively.

Developing the MVP

Created a minimum viable product (MVP) to serve as the foundation for user testing and feedback

Iterating and refining the design

Incorporated user feedback to develop version 2 of the platform

Added features like multi-user support, user-levels, and rental sharing across multiple rental agents

Implementing the final solution

Launched the refined Keyhole Portal platform, enabling the adoption of Keyhole Deposit and providing a scalable solution for future services

Solution

The design process began with the development of a minimum viable product (MVP), which served as the foundation for gathering user feedback and refining the platform. Based on the insights from the MVP, a second version was created, incorporating features like multi-user support, user-levels, and the ability to share rentals across multiple rental agents.

This iterative approach allowed for the development of a solution that not only met the immediate goal of enabling the adoption of Keyhole Deposit but also set the stage for a platform that could scale to accommodate future services.
