Introduction

The Wifiscanneren project involved developing an augmented reality (AR) experience to measure Wi-Fi connection and speed, or scan it, for a collaboration with Stofa. My role was to create an easy-to-use and innovative app which ended up with a Snap-like interface that incorporated AR path creation and custom tags as an overlay to the real world. The goal was to provide a service that improved users' understanding of the Wi-Fi in their homes while reducing the pressure on Stofa's support team and the general customer satisfaction. The app also served as a valuable tool for on-site technicians assisting users with their Wi-Fi.

To ensure the app effectively addressed users' needs and was easy to use, research was conducted to understand the challenges faced by customers, support teams and on-site technicians. The target audience for the app included homeowners seeking to optimize their Wi-Fi and understand its performance, as well as technicians who would use the tool to assist customers.
